Jessi Earns Her OTCH

Jessie with her National ribbons.

10/4/2011. Jessie with her National ribbons.

Jessi was a singleton puppy born in 2004. She started the road to her OTCH when she was just 6 weeks old. She was the first dog I have owned that was completely trained using all of the methods that I learned from Dee Dee. I started training with Dee Dee in 1996, with Kelly (Jessi’s aunt). Kelly had her UD when I started with Dee Dee and I credit Dee Dee with re-training us so that Kelly became my first OTCH. She was also a breed champion. All of my dogs are trained in both conformation and obedience at the same time. Jessi was no different. She finished her breed championship when she was 3 years old. That was also the year that she finished her CD with a HIT at the Doberman Nationals. Jessi has been a challenge to train. She thinks way too much!!! Dee Dee did a wonderful job in working through Jessi’s training issues (and mine) to keep us on track. Then finally, once again, at the Doberman Nationals in 2011, Jessi earned the last points she needed to finish her OTCH!!! She did so, in style, by also winning her 3rd National HIT and going HC!! Jessi has also won the Doberman Top Twenty Obedience twice!!! She was the number one Doberman in obedience in 2010 & 2011. She was also invited to the NOI 2009 – 2011. We did compete at the NOI in 2010 & 2011. Thank you Dee Dee for believing in us and helping Jessi and I to reach this awesome goal!!! We could not have done it without you!
