About Ginny
Tricks: Jump up and give a kiss
I contacted Dee Dee for a high energy competition dog with a love of water. At seven weeks old I got my beloved Ginny. She loved to kiss so we called her Licker. Make eye contact too long and Ginny would jump up to kiss you on the lips. I had to really watch her around people that didn’t know not to stare at her. They’d end up getting a big kiss. Ginny was only shown in 40 AKC obedience trials over ten years. I retired her at 12 years old finishing her last two shows in two days with her 10th and 11th UDX legs, four class placements, and a high combined. I always got compliments on her enthusiastic and happy work. Ginny exceeded my every expectation. She was my first dog shown in field. Ginny loved field work! She also loved the swimming pool. She swam like a fish from the time she was seven weeks old. Obedience was her third favorite. Ginny loved obedience because workers got cookies and Ginny loved cookies! But Ginny’s greatest accomplishment was being my best friend and comfort in rough times. It was impossible to stay depressed with happy, enthusiastic Ginny begging to be trained and worked. She also fetched my newspaper everyday and shared my pillow every night. She was 100% devoted to only me. I loved her so and still miss her terribly. But I have so many wonderful memories of our almost 15 years together. I’ll treasure them forever. My Beautiful, Soft and Curly Ginny.
